The field-based Key Account Manager Oncology will work with a small, dynamic cross-functional team to realize the full potential of the evolving Jazz Pharmaceuticals Oncology portfolio in Austria.
The role of incumbent is to deeply understand the specific needs of patients and healthcare professionals in their therapeutic area to identify and address their goals and challenges in support of improved patient access, patient outcomes and quality of care. This will be achieved through the development of professional working partnerships to internal and external stakeholders to positively influence sales potential, future guidelines, funding, positioning of products and effective implementation of peer to peer/advocacy programs.
The incumbent will take full accountability for the preparation and execution of innovative and strong key account and customer engagement plans as agreed with the management team, fully utilizing agreed processes and procedures requiring close collaboration with other Jazz personnel. This will require a hybrid approach whereby the incumbent will need to be able to use multi-channel approaches to achieve goals in terms of activity and sales targets, coupled with face to face and meeting activity.
The role demands good leadership qualities, resilience, high levels of cross-functional collaboration and an ability to work strategically and operationally.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Previous key account management and sales knowledge and experience in Haematology and Oncology preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful product revenue launch and/or growth in Oncology and/or orphan diseases.
  • Proven track record of success in securing appointments using remote technologies.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to be able to optimise the use of multichannel technology.
  • Proven track record in negotiating and influencing within a healthcare setting to deliver agreed and measurable objectives.
  • Effective and persuasive communicator with excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to access funding for new and existing medicines, with a demonstrable understanding of funding processes.
  • Advanced account management skills that demonstrate business acumen and an innovative approach to projects and solutions that bring added value to Jazz Pharmaceuticals and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in working with appropriate partners on joint projects that deliver benefits to all stakeholders, in particular to patients.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Austrian pharmaceutical regulations and law.
  • Proficiency in German and English.

REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND LICENSES

  • University Life Science or Healthcare Management degree (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Fully valid driving license.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cross-functional business and customer engagement plans for Austria that are aligned to the strategic brand plans and endorsed by the management team.
  • Deliver sales and related marketing objectives against national targets and contribute to team targets.
  • Develop a partnership relationship with Key External Experts (KEEs) and stakeholders by being an expert in the Jazz Pharmaceuticals Oncology products and relevant therapeutic areas as well as local and national healthcare policy as appropriate.
  • Build customer networks that enable the rapid identification, diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Demonstrate the ability to secure appointments both in person and using remote technologies in a compliant manner in line with key performance indicators.
  • Demonstrate the ability and attitude to effectively use all the multi-channel platforms to engage with both internal and external customers using the appropriate technology in a hybrid capacity.
  • Remove local prescribing barriers by helping priority accounts with solutions to local service limitations
  • Monitor and evaluate performance against business plan and deliver within agreed matrix of activity (effective account call coverage and frequency) and budget (appropriate use of promotional spend) as agreed with the management team.
  • Work with medical, market access and marketing to enable customer access to Jazz Pharmaceuticals support programmes e.g. educational events, relevant symposia, peer to peer programmes.
  • Identify and capture opportunities for business growth e.g. key account potential, new projects or added value services.
  • Profiling (and regular updating of) key customers and accounts into currently available CRM system.
  • Accurate and timely reporting of customer and business records, through CRM system, using agreed performance measures.
  • Behave ethically, responsibly and professionally in accordance with Jazz Pharmaceuticals values, policies and national codes of practice.
