Job Summary:
The Key Account Manager is responsible for acquiring and managing high-value sellers, merchants, and FMCG businesses, driving activities to meet commercial targets. The role involves extensive fieldwork to engage and onboard new small and medium-sized merchants, while also managing relationships with existing clients. Success in this role requires strong influencing skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve commercial targets, including merchant recruitment, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Proactively acquire new FMCG merchants and deepen existing relationships, utilizing sales CRM tools.
  • Build solid relationships with key FMCG clients, ensuring trust and satisfaction.
  • Conduct virtual meetings and sales visits to demonstrate product offerings.
  • Develop and implement in-store visibility plans in collaboration with FMCG merchants.
  • Resolve client issues and complaints, and strategize to improve client results.
  • Negotiate contracts and establish performance timelines.
  • Expand client base and manage merchant expectations, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Analyze FMCG merchant operations and trends to recommend business and service enhancements.
  • Work with support teams to ensure adequate client support and communication.
  • Conduct spot checks on merchant activities and provide feedback.
  • Identify emerging markets and monitor competition.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to gather market intelligence and provide timely updates.
  • Pilot new service initiatives for key merchants and suggest improvements.
  • Conduct surveys for service improvement and support merchant business optimization.
  • Report key merchant performance metrics regularly.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in B2B sales.
  • Experience in the FMCG or Service industry.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-velocity, performance-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in sales CRM tools.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
