JOB SUMMARY

The Key Account Representative (KAR) for JustFoodForDogs (JFFD) will be solely focused and accountable for creating and managing strong working relationships with our National Account’s retail locations in a given strategic market. This role is focused on partnering with store level retail partners to grow JFFD’s sales and brand presence in the marketplace. This KAR will be critically aware of industry best practices with a focus on top level merchandising, highlighting opportunities within the JFFD store set while effectively promoting company products. Exceptional communication and collaboration are paramount when working with JFFD’s National Account leadership and Regional Operation Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with every location inside your designated market through activating “Top Store Visit Standards” by developing a monthly store visit schedule to achieve 100% market coverage; Visit each location in defined market with a 4x per month frequency
  • Track and maintain metrics defined under the Field Program (JFFD’s standards), through minimum number defined of store visits, training sessions, and client/employee conversions.
  • Increase distribution by way of inventory merchandising excellence; work with Store Leadership to ensure proper counts/stock of JFFD products
  • Model and support Petco in the delivery of consistent merchandising to plan-o-gram (POG), restocking and periodic automatic preplacement (PAR) setting techniques to maintain optimal visual presence for clients at all times
  • Model desired in store behaviors to drive customer experience, including model client service and JFFD hospitality-centric engagement. Assist staff in ability to demonstrate consistent customer service standards
  • Align with Store Leadership: Review and demonstrate knowledge of store(s) sales targets vs point of sale (POS) weekly, monthly, and quarterly numbers
  • Identify off-shelf/off-pantry opportunities in store in coordination with Store Leadership
  • Serve as a primary contact for our National Account locations in your set market
  • Partner with Pantry Area Managers and Pantry Sales Partners from time to time in various initiatives to drive market performance in overlapping geographies
