Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Key Account Sales Manager to drive growth within our Key Accounts (KA) division. Reporting to the Head of B2B, you will lead a high-performing team of account managers, spearheading strategic business initiatives and ensuring the delivery of exceptional value to our customers. Your role will be instrumental in expanding our market presence while protecting company margins and aligning with broader business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Leadership: Lead and inspire your team to achieve growth objectives through robust business plans that align with key targets and market opportunities.
- Customer Engagement: Develop and manage a high-level engagement strategy with senior management, procurement teams, and other key stakeholders within customer organisations to build lasting relationships and drive sales.
- Performance Management: Oversee individual customer account plans and coach your team to ensure alignment with overall business goals. Monitor KPIs and regularly review performance to enhance productivity.
- Insight & Reporting: Provide strategic weekly updates to senior leadership, highlighting performance metrics, key actions, and growth opportunities.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth while maintaining a robust succession plan.
- Revenue Optimisation: Manage margin performance through strategic agreements and drive growth by expanding category ranges within accounts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely across departments to align business objectives and maximise sales and service opportunities.
- Financial Oversight: Ensure appropriate credit limits and rebate structures for KA customers, adjusting agreements as necessary based on performance.
- Leadership: Execute all line management duties, including regular 1:1 meetings, succession planning, and talent management to maintain an engaged and motivated team.
