Description:

Job Purpose: At Emirates, our Global Sales team is fundamental in ensuring we put our customers first by maximizing our value proposition as a brand. This team is responsible for managing relationships with our partners, customers, and account holders across the organisation!
The Key Accounts Development Controller will Manage and provide the necessary data to support the management in the interrogation and analysis to support the evaluation, implementation and development of key account relationships in line with the Global Sales Strategy. Present sufficient and timely data to enable the global sales account management team to effectively manage the relationship to maximise profit through effective communication, ensure all stakeholders are informed to enable appropriate decisions to be made in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Monitor the evaluation and implementation of global/regional approaches, ensuring all relevant data is sourced through effective collaboration with key stakeholders, including outstation sales teams and Pricing.
  • Develop, maintain and update a database of policy documents/guidelines and all relevant Company information from all key stakeholders to assist the completion of RFPs to an accurately high standard.
  • Manage the creation and implementation of all marketing plans and activities with key partners such as TMCs, Corporates, OTAs, Cruise Companies, Student specialists etc, involving and liaising with Corporate Communications wherever necessary.
  • Work closely with all key stakeholders to ensure performance indicators can be measured in a meaningful way and aid better understanding of account profitability.
  • Work together with IT, manage the implementation of business and IT projects, validity testing, piloting, roll out and monitoring, highlighting deviations from expected outcome.
  • Review, analyse and consolidate the creation, testing and implementation of the agreed strategy through the gathering and validation of accurate and timely data and testing of assumptions and propositions.
  • In conjunction with L & D and Line Manager, establish appropriate training solutions. The outcome of the training must meet the criteria set in the business plan and lead to measurable adoption criteria to be established and reviewed. Implement training needs analysis and advise suitable options, e.g. online, correspondence, workshops etc. Ensure the Global Sales webpage and newsletter is updated with all relevant information in a timely fashion.
  • Manage by ensuring all global fare agreements are updated in a timely fashion due to fare increases, implementation of surcharges, RBD restructures etc and distributed to all key stakeholders.
  • Responsible for delivering accurate, relevant and timely data to assist in decision making.
  • Monitor closely and liaise with Revenue Accounts for the timely payment of incentives in order to ensure that contractual obligations and timelines are met.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST MEET THE BELOW REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Honours with 5+ years’ experience in Commercial/Sales.
  • Experience in commercial disciplines with emphasis on economics, transportation, sales, marketing, business management and related studies.
  • Experience in the airline industry, in a sales or distribution position.
  • Specific experience of the sales environment of the airline industry.
  • Strong people, team management and leadership skills preferably in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to communicate, negotiate and influence effectively.
  • Experience in cross-functional project management and systems implementation would be an asset.
  • Ability to adapt and respond quickly to a fast changing IT environment where the business requirements need to be translated to project charters.
