THE JOB ITSELF

We are looking to recruit a kitchen assistant to support our cook and team in the day to day operation of our busy school kitchen. The position involves assisting in the meal preparation, serving food, washing up and cleaning duties, in accordance with good practice in hygiene and health and safety requirements.
The ideal candidate will desirably hold a food hygiene qualification with some knowledge of special dietary needs or be willing to attend the necessary courses to gain the appropriate knowledge and skills.
We are looking for a team player who can work to a high standard, whilst being approachable, enthusiastic and friendly. Some flexibility will be needed to ensure cover in the absence of colleagues.
