Part-time Kitchen Assistant:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 10.00am-5.00pm (less 30 minutes lunch)
We are seeking a part-time Kitchen Assistant who will assist our Café and Events Manager, to prepare hot and cold food orders according to our daily menu and event requirements, which will include jacket potatoes, soup, wraps and sandwiches.
You will also provide support to the Café team by assisting in all aspects of the Café operation. This will involve serving visitors with food and drinks orders, including Barista-style hot drinks, processing sales and payments, dishwasher duties, and keeping the Café clean and tidy.
It is therefore essential that you have previous experience of working in a busy catering or food and beverage environment, which includes the preparation of food. You will have excellent customer service skills, and an awareness and understanding of food hygiene requirements, including allergen information. A Food Safety and Hygiene (Level 2) qualification, as well as being Barista trained, would be desirable, but training can be provided.
