Description:

LiLi + KoKo Boutique + Bubbles is looking for a Kitchen Associate ready to work in a fast-paced, creative and dynamic environment. Successful candidate will employ their culinary and managerial skills to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction through management of our kitchen.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Sous or line chef
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
  • Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
  • Relevant training certificate
  • SafeServ certification
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to keep the kitchen organized, stocked and clean
  • Willingness to work flexible hours

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Clear verbal communication skills
  • Organization skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Clear attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of current food and beverage trends
  • Knowledge of a second language is a plus
  • BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate is a plus

Responsibilities:

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE

  • Produce high quality plates in both design and taste
  • Ensure proper compliance with restaurant hygiene regulations
  • Represent the company with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Deliver exceptional service to customers that results in repeat visits and long-term brand loyalty

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help in the preparation and design of food menus
  • Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
  • Plan and execute food preparation
  • Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
  • Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare and plate menu items according to recipes
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
