JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will support the culinary staff by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This role is essential in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, contributing to the overall success of our hospitality operations in a hotel or restaurant setting.

REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the chefs, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained.
  • Keep the kitchen area clean and tidy, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
  • Organise and store food supplies and equipment in accordance with health regulations.
  • Support chefs during service by helping with basic cooking tasks when required.
  • Dispose of waste correctly and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory levels of kitchen supplies and report any shortages to management.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
