Druids Glen Hotel and Golf Resort is looking to hire a Kitchen Porter to join our successful kitchen team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To assist the culinary team with the delivery of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area
• To assist the culinary team in food preparation, if required
• To maintain an effective working relationship with colleagues and managers
• To assist in the upkeep and cleanliness of hotels stores and exercise the proper control of company stock and property
• To ensure that all machinery is operated and cleaned in line with trained instructions and is maintained in a clean working condition
• To ensure that chemicals are handled and stored in line with COSHH Regulations
• To ensure that surfaces, furnishings, fixtures, and fittings are cleaned according to hotel standards
• To adhere to kitchen cleaning schedule in line with HACCP regulations
• To assist in the preparation of waste and rubbish for appropriate disposal
• To strip and clean all kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, deep fat fryers, mixers etc with the appropriate chemicals and cleaning equipment
• To clean floors, walls, benches, and fridges
• To clean bain maries, ovens, cookers tops and steamers
• To deep clean all work surfaces, shelves, and benches in food areas to the required standard
• To help with sorting and storing deliveries
• To clean and maintain the work area, materials and equivalent, to report defective materials and equipment to the relevant person
• To report and act on all accidents, incidents, and hazards
• To attend training sessions as required
