Job Introduction
As a Kitchen Porter for Sodexo in a Wellington College, Duke’s Ride, Berkshire, Crowthorne, RG45 7PU, you will be a key part of the kitchen team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness within the kitchen and food & beverage preparation areas. Your cheerful, can-do attitude will make you a major part of the everyone’s every day.

What you’ll do:
- Washing all crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils and equipment, and food service equipment.
- Ensuring that the following are kept clean and tidy and to a very high standard:
- Floors and Walls, Bins, inside and out, Crushing and disposal of cardboard and boxes, Fridges and freezers (with the assistance of chefs), Delivery areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of working areas.
- To be aware of and adhere to all health and safety, fire, hygiene, and COSHH regulations governing the work you are undertaking, and to ensure the correct chemicals and detergents are always used.
- Report all accidents (and near misses) to the chef.
- To report any shortages in equipment or chemicals to the supervisor
What you bring:
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and respect for others
- Basic food-handling skills
- Be physically able to lift heavy items and work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Experience in a similar profession is required.
