Description:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to join our project team as a Kitchen Project Manager . In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the transition and implementation of a new kitchen operating model, ensuring smooth execution across multiple functional areas including operations, equipment, manpower, supply chain, sustainability, and stakeholder communications.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a relevant field related to the scope of the role.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
- Proven experience in project management, with a strong track record of managing cross-functional projects.
- Solid understanding of kitchen operations, including familiarity with kitchen equipment (e.g., reheating systems, food preparation technologies), is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems, as well as knowledge of sustainability practices within food service operations, is advantageous.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges and continuously refine processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination: Manage the end-to-end planning and coordination of the kitchen operating model transition, ensuring readiness across critical areas such as operations, equipment, manpower, supply chain, and sustainability.
Operational Process & Readiness: Collaborate with operations, facilities services, and the supply chain to develop and refine the new operating workflows, incorporating best practices, efficiency improvements, and sustainable practices.
Trial & Process Validation: Plan and oversee trials to test new equipment and processes, ensuring thorough validation before full implementation. Gather feedback from stakeholders and make necessary adjustments to improve operational plans.
Vendor Assessment & Management: Assist in the assessment and selection of vendors to ensure timely delivery of required resources. Foster strong relationships with vendors, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Support procurement and installation of equipment when required.
Stakeholder Communication & Engagement: Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders (such as operations) and external suppliers to ensure alignment on project progress, address concerns, and manage expectations. Provide consistent and transparent updates on the project.
Implementation Support & Continuous Improvement: Support the implementation of the new operating model, ensuring smooth integration across operations, supply chain, equipment, and manpower. Continuously monitor and identify areas for improvement.
Sustainability Integration: Integrate sustainability practices into the kitchen operating model, with a focus on waste management and operational efficiency. Monitor the impact of sustainability measures and adjust as necessary.
Other Duties: Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by the DGM, Kitchen.
