Description:
Grade A: £52,737 (National Framework) or £58,409 (London Framework – if you are London office based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25)
There is also an additional homeworking allowance of £581 per annum for those working from home
Contracted Hours: Full time 37 hours per week. We may also be able to offer part time hours or a variety of flexible working patterns.
Contract Type: Fixed Term (24 Months)
Location: We can offer homeworking, office-based working or talk to us about flexible working.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING…
With excellent understanding of legislation and guidance relevant to records management and information issues, you will deliver the highest standards of information governance across the organisation.
The ideal candidate for this role will;
- Be educated to degree level or equivalent qualification, or able to demonstrate appropriate work-based experience.
- Have experience delivering Knowledge and Information Management within a government environment.
- Have a proven track record of successfully leading, managing, and coaching a team in the delivery of IT service provision, with a real focus on customer benefit. Be able to think and act strategically to develop practical, innovative, and creative solutions to complex strategic issues.

Have highly effective presentational skills, underpinned by a strong understanding of IT/desktop solutions, including the development and testing cycles, and with a proven ability to make technical/legislative language understandable.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) Manager to join our developing Technology Team.
As the Knowledge and Information Management Manager, you will deliver the highest standards of information governance across the organisation ensuring that information CQC collects, holds or processes is managed and protected in line with appropriate legislation and good practice.
In this role you will get involved with:
- Developing the organisation’s Information Governance strategy.
- Keeping abreast of legislative changes which may impact the organisation.
- Developing and embedding best practice Information Management policies and procedures.
- Maintain appropriate information asset register and retention and disposal schedules for physical and digital content.
- Provide advice and guidance to the organisation about information handling, information lifecycle management, the interpretation of policy and information management issues.
- Ensuring information management processes are kept up-to-date and reviewed regularly to ensure they’re fit for purpose under the latest KIM guidelines.
- Support information asset and risk owners in carrying out their responsibilities.
- Support and collaborate with Legal and Inquiry teams on Public Inquiries and Legal Issues
