Description:

Mano Lani has an open position for a Knowledge Management Manager to join our rapidly growing team in the National Capital Region in Virginia. The Knowledge Management Manager will be responsible for supporting solutions to develop highly complex, diverse, and sophisticated data visualization and multimedia materials for a government client.
The Knowledge Manager is a critical role within our organization, responsible for overseeing and maintaining our company’s knowledge base. This individual ensures that everyone has access to the information and resources they need to perform their jobs effectively. The Knowledge Manager collaborates with stakeholders, both internal and external, to promote and optimize the usage of our organization’s knowledge assets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support solutions to automate content management and business processes user experience, user interface, composed look, feel, and graphics design. Content migration, content classification, tagging documents, archiving documents, workflows, content management, and records management reports, dashboards, business intelligence, analytics, data quality, and data curation develop term groups, term sets, and governance Support SharePoint sites, users, permissions, and governance. Solution documentation, governance documentation, ‘How To’ guides, embedded help content, and video tutorials.

Duties:

  • Design, develop, and manage programs related to knowledge management.
  • Oversee the creation, organization, and accessibility of knowledge assets.
  • Champion a scalable strategy to capture, distribute, implement, and manage team know-how across all departments.
  • Maintain and enhance the company’s knowledge base, including regular updates, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with IT, research and development, product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless access to critical information.
  • Facilitate the design and implementation of staff accreditation programs.
  • Supervise content development for intranet portals and other knowledge-sharing platforms.
  • Work alongside stakeholders to promote effective knowledge sharing and utilization.
  • Continuously improve processes related to knowledge management.
  • May integrate Web sites with other computer applications along with converting written, graphical, audio and video components to compatible web formats by using software design to facilitate the creation of web and multimedia content.
  • Serve as the SharePoint developer/Web developer developing utilizing the full spectrum of SharePoint development technologies including C# (ASP.NET), JavaScript (jQuery), REST API, HTML, CSS, InfoPath, Visual Studio, SharePoint Object Model (OM).

  • Bachelor’s degree in information science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in knowledge management, preferably in an IT environment.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving mindset and a passion for continuous learning.

  • Must be a US Citizen able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for the position

Education / Experience / Certifications:

  • Personnel are required to successfully obtain and maintain background investigations for base access
  • At minimum, three years of experience within the last five years in providing IT support with an emphasis on graphic design background
  • Experience creating process flow diagrams and documenting solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required plus at least 5 years of experience (10years of experience can replace education requirement)

Applicants must have the experience, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Applicants must demonstrate the ability or have endorsements that indicate the ability to learn and perform the cited position’s duties. Must demonstrate knowledge of Windows production environments.

  • Specialists should have knowledge of the methods of performing such duties as Coordinates with Systems and Applications personnel on issues related to deployment of the VA web and portal applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team; ability and willingness to adapt to changing business demands.
  • Ability to produce acceptable amount of work efficiently and accurately; ability to produce quality final work product.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Must exhibit an independent interest in the use of new technologies, tools and professional development
  • Building and generating reports

Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting to 30 lbs.
