Are you passionate about supporting individual student success?
Connex Education Partnership are currently seeking a Level 2 or above KS2 Teaching Assistant for a prestigious Warrington school to cover a KS2 class , 5 mornings per week The role is on-going and has arisen due to unforseen circumstances. The position is to start 6th January 2025 and will be excepted to run until either a permanent staff memeber is found or if the succesful candidate wishes for the role to become permanent for themselves.
The school is a 2 form entry community school in a attractive village in Warrington, and are proud of their acheivemnets and staff togetherness, they have a very strong KS2 SLT and a strong team of Teaching Assistants on hand to offer additional support.
The successful candidate will hold experience in Upper Key Stage 2 who can independently drive interventions, in particular we are seeking candidates with good Maths and English skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide group interventions.
  • Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) to support students’ learning goals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and specialists to optimise student progress.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Support the class teacher and other support staff

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in supporting students in KS2, hold Level 2/ 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference in students’ lives.
  • GCSE Maths and English
