EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working within a Service Provider environment in a support, engineering, or technology position
- Experience interacting with customers in a sales focused requirements analysis, design and planning capacity
- Managing teams and processes in a cross functional environment
- Experience designing and supporting multi-service enterprise environments (IP, Voice, Cloud)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Telecommunications and Service Provider Industry
- IP Networks, Routing Protocols, Network Design, Network Security, VoIP, Cloud Architectures and SDWAN
- Ethernet, Fibre, xDSL, Cable/Coax, Fixed wireless and Cellular last mile access technologies
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The role of the Customer Solutions Engineer (CSE) is to provide quality pre-sales technical support to the Beanfield sales team. The CSE will interact with clients and support sales reps and sales management. The CSE qualifies sales opportunities, resolves all technical issues arising from the sales engagement, helps clients define specifications and requirements, and presents technical information to small and large audiences.
CSE will report to the Manager, will be expected to work with assigned Beanfield Sales representatives for technical pre-sales consultation and as well as solution design. Will also be expected to work cross-functionally with the Product, Engineering, Service Delivery, and Support teams for post-sales support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare solution designs including Statement of Work (SOW) document
- Work closely with technical design teams (GIS, Engineering) to validate customer design feasibility (supportable network topologies, functional service levels, DWDM/Dark Fibre routing)
- Develop technical responses and strategy for RFIs and RFPs
- Administer technical training and guidance to sales reps and management
- Accompany sales to strategic customer meetings or facility tours as needed
- Ensure a smooth hand-off from sales cycle to service delivery, providing all key resources such as signed SOW documents and participating in project kick off meetings etc.
- Act as a customer liaison in addition to the assigned sales representative when needed
- Provide customer advocacy for all post-sale implementation issues
- Support the Product Management team with regular feedback on new opportunities or improvements to the existing Beanfield portfolio
- Assist the Product and Marketing teams in the creation of product literature and documentation for the Beanfield portfolio of services as required
