Hiring Unit:
Department of Biology (Professor Stephanie Weber)

Position Summary:

• Prepares media for bacterial and nematode cultures.
• Washes and autoclaves glassware.
• Restocks consumables such as pipet tips, etc.
• Maintains lab work area in a clean and orderly fashion.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

• Attention to details.
• Good time management skills.

Education/Experience:

• Familiarity with basic laboratory practices such as sterile technique, concentration calculations, serial dilutions, etc. is preferred.
• Must be Work Study approved at McGill University.

Location: “This position is located in Montreal, Quebec and the work for this position is expected to be performed in Quebec”.
“Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # (4) qualifier on a scale of 0-4”.
