Position Summary:
The incumbent’s primary responsibilities are:
- Clean microscope lenses once a month, every 1-2 weeks for high frequency microscopes
- Keep microscope rooms clean
- Properly dispose of technical wastes to Waste Management per regulations.
- Replace and restock gas canisters as needed
- Replace supplies in microscope room-soap, gas canisters, lens cleaning kits, lens paper, gloves, lightbulbs
- Keep storage room organized and ready with free space.
- Keeping list of publications coming out of the facility up to date
- Incubator deep cleaning/Autoclave every 3 months, replace water in incubators once a week
Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 4 on a scale of 0-4.
