Hiring Unit:
Department of Physiology
Position Summary:

The incumbent’s primary responsibilities are:

  • Clean microscope lenses once a month, every 1-2 weeks for high frequency microscopes
  • Keep microscope rooms clean
  • Properly dispose of technical wastes to Waste Management per regulations.
  • Replace and restock gas canisters as needed
  • Replace supplies in microscope room-soap, gas canisters, lens cleaning kits, lens paper, gloves, lightbulbs
  • Keep storage room organized and ready with free space.
  • Keeping list of publications coming out of the facility up to date
  • Incubator deep cleaning/Autoclave every 3 months, replace water in incubators once a week

Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 4 on a scale of 0-4.
