Hiring Unit:
Department of Biology (Professor Jennifer Sunday)

Position Summary:

• Maintains research equipment in the photobioreactor array laboratory.
• Supports ongoing research experiments in photobioreactor array laboratory.
• Assists with the set up, and maintains experiments in the photobioreactor array for up to 4 weeks with live cultures.
• Maintains the medium preparation station.
• Communicates with Algaemetrics vendor to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Maintains function of the imaging flow cytometer.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

• Experience working in a lab setting with live algae culture.
• Attentive to details and strong communication skills.
• Experience using photobioreactor and imaging flow cyclometer.

Education/Experience:

• 1 year of experience using photobioreactor and imaging flow cyclometer.
• Must be WHMIS certified.
• Background in ecology
