MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field and 2+ years’ relevant work experience OR Master’s degree in a scientific field
• Demonstrated proficiency in coordination and organization tasks
• Proven experience in laboratory management or a similar role
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
• Fluency in English and German
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Ability to act independently and take initiative with minimal supervision
• Ability to handle multiple projects and teams and work independently in a fast-paced, highly interactive environment
  Moreover, the ideal candidate should be independent in using and teaching basic methods and techniques in the fields of molecular and cellular biology, imaging-based techniques and high throughput screening techniques. Experience with various methods in cell biology, immunology, molecular biology or a related field are preferred.

• Tissue culture experience
• Cell biology (e.g. immunofluorescence)
• Biochemistry (e.g. Western blotting, Chromatography)
• Molecular biology (e.g. molecular cloning, PCR, ddPCR)
• Next-generation sequencing methods or 3rd generation sequencing

• Independently manage daily laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, inventory, and compliance with safety and quality standards
• Design, implement, and oversee laboratory workflows to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Act as a key problem-solver by identifying and addressing potential issues proactively
• Test new tools, reagents and equipment; establish and improve experimental protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure laboratory support for all ongoing projects.
• Maintain and update documentation, including SOPs, reports, and records
• Function in occupational health and safety, communicate occupational safety & health and to organize emergency measures/first aid
