At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our research and development team as a Lab Manager Assistant in Carlsbad, CA, USA. As a Lab Manager Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the lab manager in various tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of the laboratory.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working in a laboratory setting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Good Documentation Practice (GDP), Good Manufacturing Process (GMP), 5S Lean, ISO 13485, and 21 CFR Part 820
  • Excellent attention to detail in record keeping and documentation
  • Familiarity with asset management systems
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the lab manager and assist in managing lab operations and resources.
  • Maintain inventory of lab supplies and ensure proper stock levels.
  • Maintaining lab equipment using an asset management system
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of lab materials.
  • Support adherence to regulatory and quality requirements such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485:2016 and 21 CFE Part 820
  • Assist in maintaining lab safety protocols and compliance with regulatory requirements.
