Description:
POSTING SUMMARY
To participate as a technical member of a large, clinical research laboratory to perform assays following established protocol, validate new assays, reduce data, update Quality Control (QC) systems, receive shipments of frozen samples, and maintain frozen blood sample repositories with supervision from the Principal Investigators and Senior Staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field and one year of related experience required. Knowledge of hematology/coagulation assays, ELISAs, and Quality Control procedures required. Experience with Good Lab Practice regulations and BioSafety Level II regulations required Computer knowledge required. Meticulous attention to detail required. Ability to use independent judgment and work both autonomously and as a member of a team.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with monitoring quality control and quality assurance in a research and/or clinical lab highly desirable. Proficiency with MS Excel highly desirable.
