Job Title: Lab Support Engineer
Salary: from £34,000 to £38,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full Time

We are seeking a Lab Support Engineer to provide laboratory instrument support for our pharmaceutical client in Ware, working within an integrated environment and a well-established team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a variety of services, including performing planned and reactive maintenance on HPLC and GC instruments, ensuring that all tasks are completed within specified timeframes and in line with the site’s scheduling requirements. You will also be tasked with coordinating and scheduling sub-contractors, managing contractors in accordance with site processes and Permit to Work policies, and ensuring that all documentation and records are kept up to date and compliant with site requirements and quality standards.
Additional responsibilities include adapting to urgent or unanticipated needs, such as changes in plant production schedules, and supporting continuous improvement projects by identifying potential cost-saving opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Science (preferably in Chemistry) or a related engineering subject, along with experience working in a laboratory or GxP environment. You should also have hands-on experience as a field or lab-based engineer, performing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on HPLC and/or GC systems, and be capable of working effectively under pressure
