Description:
We are looking for Lab Support Engineer at Dallas, TX for 6+ months contract role.
Role: Lab Support Engineer
Location is Dallas, TX. (Candidate will have to work in the lab and be open to possible shift work as needed by team)
Duration: 6 Months ( Extendable)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Installation and bring up of Servers, which includes configuring lights-out management (BMC, iDRAC), upgrading firmware,
installing Operating Systems and configuring network.
- Mounting new Radios to rack, DC Power connections, establishing network and RF connectivity, upgrading / downgrading firmware.
- Troubleshooting RF issues, VSWR, power issues, radio termination, UE connectivity
- Install and manage UE control software on Windows desktops, troubleshoot UE attach issues
- Configuring network switches for connectivity between elements of end-to-end test lines
- Configuring Time synchronization (GPS, PTP, SyncE) for worker nodes and radios
- Setting up Test Measurement equipment, moving the same within test lines as per requirement
- Setting up mobile racks for multi-UE test lines and troubleshooting RF issues
- Manage equipment inventory, consumable inventory and coordination with procurement for Purchases
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- An Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science/Bachelors degree in science
- The ideal candidate will have professional experience in communications and networking technologies along with expertise in system integration and validation.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience including 2 years in relevant lab support
- Familiarity with 3GPP 5G NR and LTE standards, technologies and products are desirable
- Effectively communicate with engineers, both local and remote, to understand the requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Be well-acquainted with test instruments used in wireless.
- Acquaintance with workflow tools for lab management (Jira, wiki)
- Willingness to work in shifts if needed
