Role:- Rope Technician
Location:- Doncaster
Salary:- £28,000 - £31,000 Depending upon experience inclusive of shift allowance.
Hours of Work:- Monday to Friday Days, Afters rotation with the flexibility to work nights occasionally as required.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Hands on experience of working with wire, wire rope and or fibre rope products not essential but it is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of test methodology applied to evaluate the condition of wire, wire and fibre rope products or composite & metal products would be an advantage
• Previous knowledge in the preparation and examination of wire rope samples would be an advantage
• Basic knowledge and ability in the use of Microsoft Office which would include word and excel
• Ability to effectively communicate is essential
• Fork truck and overhead crane operator licences would be advantageous.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are recruiting for a Rope Technician to join our established team based at Doncaster. As part of a team of 18 this role will be integral to the on-going development of our products and will offer the opportunity to develop and learn our own Bekaert standards, whilst forging a career within a niche industry. This role is not just lab based it will include first hand shop floor experience use of various equipment and power tools in order to cut to size to carry out tests and sampling.
