The Role & Key Responsibilities
Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: Alimetrics Office/Laboratory, Espoo, Finland
Contract: Permanent, 15 hours per week
About the Role
Are you passionate about science and keen on contributing to impactful research? Join us as a Laboratory Technician, where you’ll engage in essential laboratory analyses, sample management, and reagent preparation. You’ll handle various biochemistry techniques, including qPCR, Gas Chromatography, and ELISA, supporting our efforts in advancing research and innovation.
Key Responsibilities

Some key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing laboratory analyses and methods, including qPCR, Gas Chromatography, and ELISA
  • Preparing bacterial cultures, buffers, and solutions
  • Conducting sample preparation and data collection
  • Assisting with laboratory simulations and maintaining equipment
  • Training junior staff in basic laboratory duties as needed

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a scientific laboratory environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in natural sciences
  • Proficiency with laboratory equipment, planning, and organization
  • Experience in training others or preparing laboratory reports

Location
The role is based in Espoo, Finland, with occasional travel for internal meetings and research site visits.
