Description:

New England Seafood is a major supplier of fresh and frozen premium sustainable fish and seafood in the UK and one of the largest importers of fresh tuna. Our customers are: the UK’s leading supermarkets including Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose; as well as smaller retail outlets; restaurant chains; food service markets and wholesale sectors nationwide.
We are currently recruiting for a Label/Packaging stores operatives to join the technical team in our Grimsby factory.

Responsibilities:

· The stock control of the label, sleeves and packaging within the internal stores.
· The issuing of labels, sleeves & packaging
· Date coding sleeves

Key Accountabilities: Completion of the following tasks (This list is not exhaustive):

  • When requested by production produce the factory internal traceability labels
  • Complete the required factory QR documents
  • Issuing out and control the retail label rolls
  • When requested by production Print off the required date coded sleeves
  • Issuing the correct Quality Attribute Sheets
  • Ensure that the label room door remains closed (authorised staff only inside) and locked if unattended
  • Ordering stock
  • Ensuring all labels, Sleeves and packaging has the correct traceability attached
  • Ensure the room is tidy
  • Update check sheets & SOP’s as required

The shift pattern for this role will be 4 on 4 off, 10:00-22:00 but you will be required to work Monday to Friday initially during your training period. The successful candidate must be flexible to suit the needs of the business. Hourly rate of pay will be £12.98, paid weekly as an average of 42 hours.
