Description:

Job Title: Labelling Specialist
Supervisor: Director, Supply Chain
Work Location: On-site, Brampton, ON
Travel: Minimal travel required
Hours of Work: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (some overtime is required)

Responsibilities

  • Complete label issuance forms and work in tandem with QA and Sales to ensure data is accurate, print labels to support packaging activities, and verify accuracy based on approved forms.
  • Work collaboratively with all teams to ensure labels are printed in a timely manner, and in line with Operating schedule
  • Adhere to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) related to post-harvest activities, including but not limited to sanitation, post-production, and processing tasks.
  • Promptly report any deviations from Standard Operating Procedures to the direct manager or acting supervisor.
  • Assist in the shipping and receiving of inbound and outbound PO’s including physical receipt and put-away, communicating delivery dates, and escalating delays to team members.
  • Perform weekly inventory counts using Excel and communicate recommended purchases based on consumption of items including but not limited to PPE, sanitation chemicals, packaging items, and other items as required.
  • Staging cannabis inventory, reconciling bulk inventory weight, and escalating variances.
  • Performing cannabis inventory counts for all cannabis forms.
  • Assist with post-harvest tasks and duties as required such as including but not limited to pre-roll creation, flower packaging, labeling, and casing.
  • Ensure safe work procedures are being followed and report hazards and unsafe work to the Director, Supply Chain.
  • Other duties as required.

  • Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout an 8 to 10-hour workday.
  • Sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout an 8 to 10-hour workday.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Estimated Percentage of Tasks
75%: Label issuance, printing, reconciliation
25%: Production support, Shipping, receiving, inventory counts (consumables and cannabis), and moving boxes/containers

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience with a Canadian License Provider (LP) of cannabis in a production or post-harvest role
  • Relevant prior work experience in a comparable work environment
  • Computer literate, able to effectively use email (MS Outlook), MS Word, MS Teams, and basic MS Excel
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to read and comprehend technical documents, such as SOP’s.
