Description:
Overview:
Responsible for ensuring the union project’s operations and site leaders adhere to the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) compliance requirements, including Apprenticeship Reporting and Prevailing Wages. The Apprenticeship Compliance Coordinator will provide audit information to Owners, Subcontractors, and management by researching and analyzing data, preparing reports, and enforcing corrective action where necessary.
Location & Travel Details: This is an onsite position is based at our office in Clinton, IN. This position will travel to other offices or jobsites as needed.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates degree in business or related field preferred
- One to three years’ relevant experience
- Union Construction experience preferred
- Previous Davis-Bacon, Prevailing Wage, DOT Wage, and/or DOL Wage compliance experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the Company’s Zero Injury principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient mathematical skills
- Understanding of union payroll
- Basic knowledge of creating reports or similar data warehouse software
- Basic problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:
- Support multiple union Wind and Solar projects for Apprenticeship and Prevailing Wage compliance requirements
- Maintain tracking and reporting spreadsheets needed for each project and Owners
- Work with all Subcontractors and Payroll to review accurate payroll and apprenticeship records
- Audit and review Subcontractor’s payroll and Apprenticeship documentation to ensure requested information is identified
- Work with Payroll, Labor Relations, and Operations to ensure reports and requested information are identified per Owners’ requests
- Prepare and maintain documentation to support internal files
- Share inaccuracies with Subcontractors and Payroll when reviewing payroll or apprenticeship records are not in compliance and ensure follow up of corrections
- Ensure completed Owner requested information is reported to respective client and timely.
- Participate in internal management meetings sharing updates, best practices, and lessons learned when necessary
- Maintain knowledge and stay up-to-date on compliance and regulatory matters
- Review, document, and file appropriate Prevailing Wages (PW) per the Department of Labor (DOL) Prevailing Wage Determinations
- When necessary, communicate with the DOL on PW additional classification requests, questions, and concerns
- Request Apprenticeship documentation from respective Local Union Training Programs
- Work with Payroll and IT to compile Apprentice Hours, Ratios, and proper PW rates per Union Collective Bargaining Agreements and Union Apprenticeship Standards
- Stay in constant contact with Subcontractors to ensure all Owner requested information is secured, documented, and filed for potential future audit
- Ensure Union Craft Dispatch Request Forms are being completed properly by Project Admin/Team and properly completed and returned by Apprenticeship Office/Local Unions
