Laboratory Assistant (Amanuensis)

The Innovation Center has approximately 120 people with different disciplines and laboratories i.e. industrial fermentation, process technology, analytics, microbiology and product development, and are working together in all kind of different innovation projects to develop new solutions and processes. At Corbion we use our unique expertise in fermentation and other processes to deliver sustainable solutions for the preservation of food and food production, health, and our planet.
We are looking for a Lab Assistant (Amanuensis) with extensive experience in a lab environment. You are the person who will take care that all activities in the laboratories will run smoothly and safe. You will be part of a dynamic team and will work closely together with the lab supervisors, maintenance and of course the persons working on the lab. The location will be Gorinchem

• Keep the lab tidy, clean and safe together with your colleagues.
• Keeping disposables, materials etc. on the right stock level and at the right place by ordering them and keeping them well organized.
• Keep chemical storage system up to date
• Owner of the disposable storage room
• First contact for small adaptations in the lab
• Contact for broken equipment / glassware
• Maintain / own the equipment list
• Waste management
• Manage gasses
• Organizing lab cleanings
• Sample shipment
• Responsible for the chemical bunker, freezers and refrigerators.
