Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Assistant- Histology Adminstrative Co-Ordinator who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate, vibrant and engaged team who will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Pathologists with coordination of cases for multidisciplinary meetings. This includes slide retrieval and coordinating all relevant paperwork.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of tumour bank and clinical trial records and billing.
  • Coordinating bookings for Frozen sections and fine needle aspirations.
  • Coordinating the Internal Quality Assurance Program for the Pathologists.
  • Liaising with external parties with regards to slide and block requests.
  • Telephoning/ faxing of results to clinicians.
  • Maintaining Slide filing.
  • Preparation of correspondence and general administrative duties for the Pathologists.
  • Organise and execute the Internal QAP program for the pathologists.
  • This role reports to the Chief Scientist –Histology
