The Laboratory Engineer is responsible for performing manual laboratory work by preparing buffers and other solutions, as well as handling sensitive materials and chemicals with high precision. A lot of the work is standardized and good manufacturing practice is applied and business specific regulations. In addition, you will be handling inventory and laboratory preparations as well as minor maintenance and housekeeping, involving contacts with other groups and departments.
This position is part of the Beads Manufacturing Team and will be located in Solna, Stockholm, Sweden. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • B.Sc. in biomedicine, life science or equivalent education or related work experience
  • Proven laboratory experience including good understanding and experience of aseptic work and experience with temperature sensitive materials, proven experience with handling micropipettes and pipet aids, as well as good understanding of basic mathematics for unit conversions.
  • Excellent knowledge of Swedish and Englis

Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for minor maintenance and housekeeping.
