Description:
ABOUT US
The UCL Centre for Rheumatology is one of the four centres composing the Research Department of Inflammation within the Division of Medicine. The centre includes leading musculoskeletal research groups in the UK.
ABOUT YOU
The laboratory manager needs to have a thorough knowledge of the workings of a modern immunology laboratory. It is important to have good interpersonal relationship skills. It would be advantageous to have good financial skills and if possible (though this can be taught) phlebotomy experience. The extensive list of skills, duties and responsibilities can be found within Job Description and Person Specification.
Responsibilities:
The main purpose of this position is to facilitate the smooth running of the rheumatology research department, liaising with other groups on the same floor and throughout the building. The key duties are to ensure the maintenance of our equipment, facilitate the ordering of research materials and that those working in the laboratory are mindful of health and safety issues. Please note that this is a fixed-term secondment role for 6 months, only available to existing UCL employees. A job description and person specification can be accessed at the bottom of this page. If you need reasonable adjustments or a more accessible format to apply for this job online or have any queries about the application process, please contact Kinga Podolak (Senior HR Officer) on k.podolak@ucl.ac.uk.
