Job Title: Laboratory Service Operational Lead
Location: University Hospital of North Tees, Hardwick Road, Stockton on Tees, TS19 8PE

YOU’LL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

· Master’s level or equivalent or comparable experience.
· Evidence of continuing personal development.
· Experience of Health Service Management or experience within comparable sector.
· Demonstrable practical experience of managing a service undertaking business planning and implementing significant change.
· Familiarity / Experience with NHS management structures and process
· Experience of the performance management and planning agenda; ability to work effectively across a range of professionals.
· Experience of interpreting complex data and production of high-quality performance reports using spreadsheets and graphical presentation.
This role may require you to show evidence of education at Masters level or at least 2 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

· Lab Operational Service Lead, managing operational delivery of service, Monitoring of KPIs and response to Customer Demand.
· Make significant contribution to the development of the medium to long term strategy for the service and to ensure that the fundamental aspects of care are in place.
· The Laboratory Operational Service Lead will provide leadership which inspires, motivates and empowers others.
· Secure and assure the highest standards of service by providing leadership to the professional and direct staff within the Quality Control Team teams and services for which the post holder is accountable
· Ensure that administrative and section areas are designed and delivered to achieve the highest standards of delivery within the service
· Establish working relationships with service users and departments thus ensuring a high quality of service to clients
· Ensure Team Leaders have access to leadership development and actively empower staff within their teams to improve services, care and maintain high standards
