Our Global Device Development is an innovative, technically-excellent and fully integrated organization, delivering access to high quality, safe, robust and effective device and combination products to meet the worlds’ evolving patient healthcare needs. We develop device technologies to enable drug-delivery for respiratory, biosimilar and injectable products, and work across Viatris to support innovative technology solutions to provide healthcare solutions for our patients. The Role & What You Will Be Doing
Support all R&D Laboratory requirements to ensure lab compliance and also support for all Device Programs as required.

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Laboratory Student Placement - Device and Product Performance role will make an impact:

  • Adhere to ISO 13485 in line with the GDD QMS always ensuring audit readiness.
  • Assist with the team to support equipment qualifications, vendor calibrations and preventative maintenance in line with the laboratory qualification and preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Data review/ verification, instrument daily calibrations.
  • Assist in Coordination of laboratory instrument calibrations and service contracts.
  • Support laboratory equipment validation and CSV in conjunction with relevant SMEs.
  • Proactively contribute through ownership of the deliverables of the quality objectives defined within the GDD QMS.
  • Attending EHS training and maintaining responsibility for adhering to appropriate EHS procedures. Ensure the appropriate risk assessments are in place to perform required tasks.
  • Generate SOP’s and Work instructions.
  • Organize on site calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Assisting equipment set-up and qualification in the on-site laboratory.
  • Assist in the generation SOP’s and Work instructions.
  • Assist in sample management activities including shipping of samples.

About Your Skills & Experience

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

  • Degree /Diploma in Engineering/Science with previous experience in a GMP lab environment would be desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience using in a regulated GMP environment would be an advantage
  • The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, proactive with a proven track record of success, a positive attitude and who wants to progress in a fast-paced environment.
  • Well-developed communication skills to lead or facilitate effective discussions. Able to communicate technical and/or project information to key stakeholders.
  • Will need to be adaptable to ever changing priorities in a fast paced environment to support the Laboratory team to deliver Device program support.
