Description:

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and equipment (e.g., CAD, data analysis software).
  • Experience with Build shop equipment and processes.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Accredited engineering degree or a relevant technical qualification

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the Caterpillar’s health and safety policy and safe working practices in accordance with the Safety Management System.
  • Adhere to Caterpillar’s Values in Action: Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Commitment & Sustainability.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers responsible for engine test programs and all operational teams.
  • Translate engineering requirements into the operational tasks required to enable quality test data capture; facilitating engine receipt or build,
  • Identify and resolve engine or process issues that may arise during the planning and preparation of engine build, Using Lean methodology Update Standard work and risk assessments as required.
  • Follow documented standard work procedures/instructions to ensure safe and defect free work.
  • Take accountability for professional development and continued learning.
