SUMMARY
AGAT Laboratories is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our PVT Lab working out of our Calgary, Alberta facility. In this position the successful candidate will be the second level position in the laboratory. This position is given direction from the Laboratory Manager and assists with laboratory services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education with a Technical Diploma or Science Degree.
- 0-5 year’s laboratory work experience.
- Previous experience in an oil or PVT lab environment would be considered an asset.
- Intermediate computer skills with MS office and LIMS.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment.
- Hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Mature work ethic, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds on a consistent basis.
Work Environment: This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a laboratory environment. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks. PPE is required where applicable.

Responsibilities:
- Perform PVT Laboratory procedures.
- Compile, verify and validate accurate data records.
- Regularly maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot essential laboratory equipment.
- Follow all quality control (QC) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Report results.
- Other duties as assigned.
