The Agropur Dairy Cooperative in Don Mills, Ontario is looking to fill a Part-time Lab Technician position.

WHAT’S INVOLVED IN THIS ROLE:

This Part-Time Lab Technician position is responsible for performing various laboratory duties including:

• Various routine laboratory analysis (such as compositional tests, and microbiological tests); chemical analysis (such as concentration tests, appearance tests); and other laboratory tests,
• Troubleshoot when the above tests are out of compliance that could affect products/ environment safety and quality,
• Calibration of lab equipment,
• Compiling and reporting data,
• Preparation of milk for analyzing,
• Sampling & resampling milk (for micro & compositional analyses);
• Various monitoring duties, and other duties as required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR DON MILLS TEAM:

• Completed or in process of completing either Bachelor of Science degree or post secondary diploma in food science, biology, microbiology, or related field,
• Laboratory experience will be a considered asset,
• Must be able to work well within a fast-paced production environment,
• Ability to multi-task several responsibilities simultaneously,
• Strong proficiency with computer skills and capabilities,
• Ability to learn many different tasks for various lab positions.
