SUMMARY:
AGAT Laboratories is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SCAL Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a variety of special core analysis experiments, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
AGAT is a leading provider of advanced reservoir characterization services to the energy industry. Our state-of-the-art SCAL lab is dedicated to conducting cutting-edge research and analysis to optimize reservoir performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education with a Chemical degree/diploma or equivalent experience
- Previous work lab experience is an asset, training will be provided
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail with good organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
- Team player with the ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment
Work Environment: This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a laboratory environment. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks. PPE is required where applicable.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct a range of SCAL experiments to evaluate reservoir rock properties
- Operate and maintain SCAL laboratory equipment
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Utilize various shop and hand tools for SCAL experiment setup and sample preparation
- Contribute to a safe and organized laboratory environment
- Compile, verify and validate accurate data records
- Perform basic analysis.
- Report results.
- Other duties as assigned.
