Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

The Tropic Laboratory Management Team perform a critical function for the Tropic research pipelines by preparing high quality plant growth media, sterile supplies, and other consumables, in addition to laboratory support services including waste management, sterilisation of products via autoclave and laboratory replenishment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manufacture of liquid and solid media, sterile supplies, hormone stocks and other consumables.
  • Adherence to Quality Control (QC) processes.
  • Collection and processing of waste material from laboratories.
  • Replenishment of laboratory consumables alongside Tropic’s stock management system.
  • Operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, including semi-automated plate pourers, mediaclaves, glass washers and autoclaves.
