Laboratory Technician

Mackay Regional Council is currently seeking a skilled and details-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our Water Treatment team which pride themselves on innovation, quality, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the Mackay Region. This position is permanent full-time working a 9 day fortnight.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Possess a formal qualification in laboratory work, such as Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques or an equivalent.
• Hold a current “C” class driver’s licence.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Have practical experience in routine sampling and analysis techniques.
• Candidates with previous analytical experience in inorganic or organic chemistry will be highly desirable
