We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our team to ensure the accurate and timely completion of analytical testing on samples in accordance with NORIT’s Quality System, Work Instructions, and Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) requirements. This position is essential in maintaining a safe environment and delivering prompt results to our production teams and customers.
REQUIREMENTS
- B.Sc. Degree in Science or equivalent experience in a production laboratory,
- Demonstrable experience in laboratory analysis,
- Strong experimental skills in activated carbon testing or similar chemical environments,
- Effective communication skills at all levels,
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management,
- Proactive, organized, and goal-driven,
- Adherence to safety protocols and good lab practices,
- Quick decision-making and result-oriented,
- A team player with a collaborative approach,
- Commitment to ethical standards and continuous improvement,
- Knowledge of quality control/assurance standards, ISO, and SOPs,
- Adaptability to changing priorities and technologies is highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Performing routine analytical testing to monitor compliance criteria,
- Executing systematic analysis of products, processes, and raw materials,
- Working collaboratively within the laboratory analysis team,
- Ensuring accurate recording and maintenance of quality records and results.
- Providing reliable, efficient analysis to support product quality control and timely dispatch.
- Reporting analysis exceptions to the Laboratory Manager or relevant authority,
- Supporting Safety, Health, and Environment, Process Engineering, Operations teams, and other departments as needed,
- Being aware of and notify any issues related to Food Safety (HACCP/Kosher/Halal),
- Undertaking other duties as required by the Laboratory Manager,
- Developing an understanding of the applicational and commercial criteria for product success,
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and NORIT policies.
