POSITION SUMMARY

The Laboratory Technician prepares all lab jobs to proceed to test. The Lab Technician will perform testing to a set schedule according to all the relevant processes and procedures from receiving to reporting.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES

Processing incoming jobs and/or products to a set schedule, utilising resources in the lab and working closely with the Customers to be responsible for delivering each project to a successful conclusion.
Work with Sales and all relevant support departments and Customers to ensure that job brief is fully understood and documented on the work orders presented to the laboratory.
Monitor testing outputs, including chambers.
Ensure all work in the laboratory is carried out in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice, ISO17025 accreditation requirements, internal procedures and in conjunction with the laboratory staff and under the direction of the laboratory senior management team
Aid in executing and perform laboratory testing.

DUTIES - CONT’D

Maintain accurate and sufficiently detailed records of all tests performed. Ensuring all documentation meets Good Document Practice (GDP). Adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures including health and safety requirements
Compiling, reviewing, updating, and improving reports.
Ensure all training documentation is maintained and the training matrix kept up to date.
Promptly reporting non-conforming jobs and/or products.
Other duties as assigned.
