Laboratory Technician

Job Purpose: Support the Clinic Laboratory by collecting and coordinating pre-analytical processing of samples for both in-house and external laboratory testing. Perform phlebotomy on a routine basis for clinic patients of all age groups. Support the laboratory staff with routine analyser start-ups and minor testing roles, whilst adhering to established standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
Qualifications & Experience: Medical/Safety.Laboratory : 3+ Years
Post Graduate Diploma (12+4 or equivalent) :
Knowledge/skills: - Post-graduate experience in a Medical Laboratory. Preference for individuals with experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, with a generalist background. - Registered and / or licensed as a Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist (or equivalent) with a recognised international body. - Licensed to practice as a Laboratory Technician by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). - Experience in the UAE is desirable. - Experience working in an ISO accredited laboratory is desirable - As laboratory medicine is constantly evolving, the Laboratory Technician is expected to use a range of professional skills in pre-analytical processing, escalating issues that may arise as appropriate. - Accuracy of testing and knowledge of quality assurance is paramount to this role Leadership Role : NO Safety Sensitive Role: No
