Gut Immunology lab is a newly established and the home to an enthusiastic, diverse and international group of researchers in the field of gut microbiology and immunology. The research focuses primarily on immunopathologic mechanisms, novel therapeutics, and the translation of basic science findings for applications in gut health diseases. Human and animal in vitro models are used in immunobiological investigations to elucidate the dysregulated immune responses in the gastrointestinal tract that lead to mucosal inflammation.
To support us in this effort we are currently looking for an enthusiastic, open-minded, and proactive laboratory technician trainee.
To be eligible as a Trainee you must
- have completed theoretical training as lab technician education
- use this internship position to fulfill last year education
- hold residency permit in Denmark
You are expected to participate in lab routine tasks and in vitro validation assays. With guidance, you are capable of planning the daily work and execute with precision and speed while observing all safety regulations and protocols. You will take ownership of the assignment and proactively propose solutions to the issues that arise. You are expected to carry multi-tasks and work independently after training. As part of our team, you have the chance to learn a wide range of techniques, such as:
- Mammalian cell culture techniques and cell-based in vitro assays
- Bacterial and microbiological techniques (media preparation, identification and bacteria culturing, anaerobic techniques)
- Routine immunology assays (RT-PCR, ELISA, WB…)
- Routine laboratory tasks (autoclaving, sterilization, and disinfection)
