EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILL

  • Diploma in Chemical Technology, Bachelor of Science with a major in Chemistry, or equivalent combination of education and applicable experience.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Effective communication skills are required.
  • Laboratory experience is preferred but minimum requirement is to be comfortable in a lab setting.

Responsibilities:

The Laboratory Technician – Term will report to the Health, Environment, Safety and Quality (HESQ) Manager. The technician will be accountable to perform lab testing as per the daily schedule as well as to complete ad hoc testing as required.

  • Ensure sample collection
  • Provide samples preparation
  • Perform quality control analyses
  • Prepare and standardize reagents
  • Ensure results are recorded to spreadsheets
  • Perform regular housekeeping in order to provide a clean environment
