The Labor Relations Advisor ensures consistent application of the company’s labor relations policies and practices and supports the operational team in disciplinary and union-management matters.

Labor Relations Advisor Responsibilities
- Advise employees, management and operations on a wide range of labor and employee relations issues, including performance management, discipline, investigations, legal and interpersonal issues.
- Coordinate grievance management at all stages, to minimize organizational and financial costs and develop good labor-management relations.
- Analyze general labor relations issues and trends, such as systemic problems, policy and process concerns, and recommend optimization strategies.
- Participate in various local labor-management meetings, including professional relations committees.
Labor Relations Advisor Qualifications
- At least 1 to 3 years experience in human resources, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Post-secondary education in human resources or labour relations, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working in a federal jurisdiction is ideal.
- Work experience and/or basic knowledge of collective agreement management.
- Experience in disciplinary investigations and the implementation of corrective measures (e.g. disciplinary actions).
