Description:
LABOUR RELATIONS COORDINATOR
4 or 6-Month Co-op, Internship or Work Study opportunity
Vancouver Island or Vancouver Lower Mainland (hybrid work)
Responsibilities:
Supporting the Labour Relations team, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as:
- Assisting in the research and analysis of collective bargaining agreements, labor laws, and industry best practices.
- Attending and take notes during meetings between management and union representatives.
- Helping prepare and organize materials for upcoming labor negotiations or dispute resolutions.
- Providing administrative support to the labor relations team, including filing, data entry, and maintaining records.
- Collaborating with HR and legal teams to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Assisting with tracking and reporting on key labor relations metrics and trends.
- Participating in training sessions or workshops to enhance knowledge of labor relations and employment law.
- Responding to inquiries from employees and management regarding union policies, workplace issues, and labor agreements.
- Maintaining confidential information, both electronically and manually, and
- Any additional duties as required.
