QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Immunology, Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology or similar
• Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum of 1 year’s hands on experience on the protein expression, purification in the research lab or biological manufacture facility.
• Hands on experience on common lab technics including liquid chromatography (SEC, ion-exchange, affinity columns), SDS-PAGE, western blot.
• Computer skills in Windows operating system and common office software (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in molecular biology techniques, cloning, PCR, Gel electrophoresis
• Knowledge of biophysical techniques for characterization of antibody-antigen complexes such as Mass Photometry/Spectroscopy, Differential Scanning Fluorimetry (DSF), HPLC, Differential Scanning calorimetry (DSC), isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC), Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI) and Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) is a plus.
• Able to efficiently manage uncertainty, changes in priority and timeline restrictions.

• Maintain insect and mammalian cell cultures, perform cell transfections for recombinant protein expression.
• Contribute to the design of new constructs and mutants based on structural analysis.
• Work closely with the protein production and biophysics teams to select the best constructs and conditions for structural and animal studies.
• Carry out protein purification tasks as required by the project to generate structural reagents.
• Perform biochemical and biophysical experiments to characterize the purified proteins.
• Document your work and ensure appropriate quality control experiments are carried out to support intellectual property and reagent reuse by other groups.
• Present results and progress updates at team meetings.
