Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is an outstanding partnership that allows our customers to use the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.
Performs a variety of routine to complex sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations and/or biological matrices. Follows validated or experimental analytical procedures with periodic direct supervision. Responsible for review and compilation of results and data comparison against SOP acceptance criteria, methodology, protocol and product specifications.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0-2 years).

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage the transportation booking process related to domestic and international shipments.
  • Assign dangerous good UN classification numbers and determine packing, labeling, and prepare shipping papers.
  • Work with the Global Trade Compliance (GTC) team to obtain HTS classifications, export classification control numbers, determine country of origin, conduct restricted party screening checks.
  • Prepare import documents which include, but are not limited to, customs commercial invoices, USDA Guideline Statements, CDC Importer Statements, TSCA Certifications, and permit affidavits.
  • Transfer outbound sample shipments to the logistics service providers and inbound shipments to the lab suites.
  • Perform additional activities as needed and agreed on by management
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), laboratory safety procedures and appropriate client policies and procedures.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly meetings.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), laboratory safety procedures and appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Request HTS codes, assign Incoterms, assess if Dangerous Goods (or consultant) is needed, escalate need for permits to global lead, utilize the existing valuation tool to assign values to shipments.
  • Track shipments, take request from scientist & send to appropriate courier, collect packages, safely package the material & deliver to appropriate teams (by site)
  • Work directly with vendor to schedule shipments, identify & escalate problems.
  • Manage imports & liaise with other country teammates for knowledge sharing & assistance.
  • Complete all shipment requests that originate from Vx R&D US Scientists, from documentation, to corresponding with the vendor and scientist, to packaging the samples and following up on issues.
